SUMMARY
Chiverton Construction Services originally visited the site with a view on repairing windows that were leaking and draughty. On full assessment and costing, it was agreed that it would be more effective to replace the windows and provide a solution that will last for many years. As the original windows were installed in the 80's, the efficency improvements of the property were also a huge positive to the replacement windows. We were delighted to work alongside our trusted tradesman at C&D Maintenance and Strathseal to complete the contract.
The original windows were heavy duty timber windows and the lath plaster walls were built around the windows, therefore removal of the exisitng windows was a tricky task. The team perservered and managed to have all windows successfully replaced with 2 days, leaving them to concentrate on sealing all windows in and carrying out full plaster repairs.
The property has been left read to paint by the client. The project was challenging as each day we had to work around existing tenant and pets, but each day the tenant was left with safe, useable rooms.
Whilst working at this flat, we were also required to nip to another property and replace a damaged fire door, which was carried out on a Saturday morning to suit the tenants.
